SHAMSIA HASSANI
Downtown Los Angeles is transforming into the city’s largest canvas with “Big Art. Bigger Dreams.” – a bold new initiative bringing epic-scale public art to the heart of DTLA, turning iconic buildings into monumental works of creativity, culture, and collective imagination. As Los Angeles gears up to host a parade of world-class events culminating in the LA28 Olympics, these murals – inspired by global vision and local spirit – serve as a legacy for a city preparing to welcome the world. Shamsia Hassani has crafted a poetic triptych, highlighting the transformative power of education—both within and beyond the classroom—in shaping stronger communities. The mural underscores education as a fundamental human right and celebrates how sports, arts, and music cultivate the values essential to a thriving generation.
