Traditional Japanese cooking is fused with bold Californian flavors to deliver new takes on classic dishes. We value quality by using only premium ingredients such as locally sourced organic Jidori chicken. Our beverage program includes handcrafted cocktails, a wide array of sakes and rare Japanese whiskies. The vision is clear: great food, good times.

We offer our customers not only the finest quality, but also certified, sustainable and responsibly made products. Our gelatos are made using time-honored, artisan techniques and feature pure cane sugar, ripe seasonal fruits and fresh pasteurized Real California dairy, free of growth hormones and sourced using the highest standards of animal care and environmental stewardship.

Café Balzac is inspired by Honoré de Balzac, a French writer who was known to have 46 espressos a day! At Café Balzac we offer fresh gourmet coffee and espresso drinks, sweet and savory crêpes and curated pastries. We are a little slice of France in the heart of DTLA!
